We depart at 8:00 am from St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral.
The trip to our final destination, the village of Skobelevo in Central Bulgaria takes about 2.5 hours, subject to traffic.
Once we leave the vehicle, we head up to a field of roses where you can appreciate the effort of rose picking. From there we will carry the ‘fruit’ of our work to an actual rose oil distillery, where an expert will explain the entire process of essential oil production and we can get a taste of 5 different locally produced rose products.
In need of a well deserved break, we will have lunch in the distillery’s own rose garden and enjoy the fragrance of a wide variety of decorative rose species. You will also have enough time for shopping in the distillery’s own company shop, offering a wide array of rose products, including cosmetics, perfumes and essential oils.
Before heading back to Sofia, we will make a stop at the one of a kind Rose Museum in Kazanlak.
Our expected arrival in Sofia (at St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral) should be around 6 pm.
