We endeavour to provide you with as much information as possible prior to your departure without bombarding you with paperwork. If you have any questions before you go please don't hesitate to contact us on 0845 246 2666.

How do I book my holiday?
The first thing to do is give us a ring or drop us an email. From there, we can arrange everything over the phone or meet with you. Then to confirm your trip, you will need to complete and sign a booking form. We will also require details of your insurer, so please provide copies of your certificate with your completed booking form. Or you may like to buy your insurance with us.

Who will deal with my booking?
When you call us you will either speak to Andy or one of the specialists on the particular region you're interested in. Excedo is a small private company run by passionate travellers, so if we don't know it, we don't sell it! We regularly travel to all of our destinations to experience everything we offer first-hand. Private travel requires a personal touch and booking with Excedo will give you just that.

What do the prices in the brochure represent?
Because our holidays are custom-made for you, our published prices are intended as a guide only. We tailor our itineraries according to your budget and according to where you want to go and what you want to do and see. All our journeys are based on scheduled economy flights, five-star boutique hotels or small boats, as well as private guides and drivers. Once we have finalised your holiday itinerary you will receive a detailed holiday quotation.

What does private guiding mean?
You will be assigned your own expert guide who will meet you at the airport and show you the best sights and attractions on your trip. In most cases this guide will be exclusive to you, as will your driver, though in some circumstances there may be some shared travel. If you are travelling to a number of places your guide may change in each destination. You will always have a separate driver, so you get the full attention of your experienced guide.

What about my passport?
A full ten-year passport valid beyond the duration of your holiday and for entry to all countries included in your trip is essential. Most countries now insist upon at least six months' validity beyond the date of your return to the UK. All details on your travel documents must exactly match those on your passport in order to avoid difficulties or delays at immigration or border controls. Newlyweds especially, should ensure that booking details match passports and also carry a copy of their marriage certificate.

Do I need to get a visa?
At the time of printing the only destination we offer that requires a visa is Egypt. If you do not have a British passport you should check entry requirements to your chosen destination with the country's individual embassy. Please note that rules do change and you are responsible for ensuring that you conform to any visa requirements.

What about insurance?
You are required to have adequate insurance protection against cancellation, medical and other expenses. You must ensure that you have taken out valid insurance and confirm this with us in writing on your booking form. If you like, you can obtain your travel insurance from us.

Do I need injections?
You should familiarise yourself in good time before departure with the up-to-date health precautions recommended for your holiday destination. You can seek further advice from MASTA (Medical Advisory Service for Travellers Abroad). Visit www.masta-travel-health.com where you can find a ‘Health Brief' specifically tailored to your journey or the Department of Health's ‘Health Advice for Travellers' at www.doh.gov.uk

How safe am I when go abroad?
As always, you should be careful and use common sense when travelling abroad. Many of the destinations that we feature do not have the same standards of health and safety as in the UK, but this is part and parcel of the travel experience. We thoroughly check all of our suppliers and partners and would never sell a trip that we did not consider to be safe; however your own safety is your responsibility on your holiday. All of our boats and accommodation comply with all the required regulations.

What about my special dietary requirements?
Please let us know of any special requirements when you are booking so that we can make the necessary arrangements with your hotels/boat.

What is not included?
In many of our destinations, particularly in Latin America, tipping is customary for most services. On most of the vessels that we offer it is also customary to tip serving staff. The amount is at the discretion of each passenger, but for budgeting purposes we suggest that you allow the equivalent of £5 per passenger per day. Also not included is food, other than where indicated; travel insurance; airport or local taxes; National Park fees and optional excursions outside your itinerary.

How do I give feedback?
We'd love to hear from you. Your feedback is what helps us to know what's going really well and what you'd like us to improve on. Please feel free to email us at sales@excedotravel.com or send a letter to our postal address.
