The 22-nd edition of the European Society of Vector Ecology* Conference was held in Sofia, Bulgaria. The event is organized annually and brings together experts in vector biology and control from all over the globe. This year’s conference, hosted by the Bulgarian National Centre of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases between October 11 – 14, was attended by close to 150 delegates and included a sightseeing day tour of the second largest city in Bulgaria – Plovdiv.
The European Society of Vector Ecology chose Excedo Travel as their trusted partner for their annual event
Our Discover Plovdiv tour focused on the evolution of Europe’s oldest city over the centuries and Bulgaria’s cultural heritage. Tour participants strolled the paved alleys of Plovdiv’s Old Town, explored its Thracian, Roman, Old Bulgarian and Ottoman past, as well as its more modern history. Some highlights of our tour included a visit of the beautiful 19-th century Hindilyan House and the breathtaking Bishop’s Basilica of Philippopolis.
Special thanks to the local organizers of the event for their trust in us.
