For the 4th year in a row EduEarth partners with Excedo Travel to discover Bulgaria’s history and culture
The annual meeting of EduEarth PhD Alumni once again brought together professionals from Austria and Germany in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Excedo Travel, known for its exceptional itinerary planning, organized a delightful Discover Sofia walking tour for participants in German, showcasing the city’s rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture. Attendees explored iconic landmarks such as the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the historic streets of the city center, immersing themselves in Sofia’s unique blend of past and present.
In addition to the urban explorations, the event featured a day trip to the picturesque town of Bansko, renowned for its stunning mountain scenery and cultural heritage. On September 6, participants indulged in the “Unique Bansko” culinary festival that celebrated traditional Bulgarian cuisine. The festivity highlighted local delicacies, offering attendees a taste of authentic regional flavors while promoting the importance of sustainable and local food practices.
