The first stop for Oliver Soos with Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg and Ekaterina Popova with ARD on their week-long trip through north-west Bulgaria was the historic city center of Sofia.
It was a special pleasure for our team to navigate through the history of our capital together with the two journalists and to show them Sofia through our eyes on a private walking tour. Some of the highlights of the tour were the thermal springs of Sofia and discovering its Roman heritage. Our guests were further interested to learn about the origin of our capital’s name – Sofia, as well as to dive into the still divisive topic of Bulgaria’s communist past.
