We depart at 8:00 AM from a location of your choosing in Sofia
We depart at 8:00 AM from Sofia.
At 10.30 am, we arrive at the village of Skobelevo in Central Bulgaria.
Our first stop is a field of roses, where a local guide will explain the technique of rose blossom picking and show us how it is done. We are then invited to try it out ourselves and to pick some roses on our own.
After spending some time in the field, we will visit the local rose oil distillery, ‘Damascena’, where we will witness how the entire process of essential oil production works.
In need of a well-deserved break, we will have the chance to indulge ourselves a bit by tasting some of the local rose products. This is followed by some free time; you can sit down for lunch, a coffee, or have a look at the distillery’s shop for some souvenirs.
Before we head back to Sofia, we make one more stop in Kazanlak – Bulgaria’s rose capital. Here we will visit the one-of-a-kind Rose Museum.
We arrive back in Sofia at around 6:00 PM.
